The Wild Rivers Coast is one of the most beautiful places in America.
It is also one of the most geographically isolated.
For generations, students, families, artists, and community organizations throughout Del Norte County and Curry County have faced limited access to arts programming, cultural experiences, educational opportunities, and community gathering spaces commonly found in larger communities.
More than 50,000 residents call the two-county region home.
They deserve access to the same opportunities available elsewhere.
They deserve places to gather, learn, celebrate, and create.
They deserve facilities that support student success, community engagement, and cultural enrichment.
The Wild Rivers Performing Arts and Civic Center was created to help address that need.
Residents often travel more than 90 miles to access performances, cultural programming, and civic gathering spaces that many communities take for granted.
Students face additional barriers.
Many schools lack access to facilities capable of supporting large-scale performances and educational experiences.
Families often cannot afford the cost and travel associated with attending arts events outside the region.
The Center changes that equation.
By creating a world-class performing arts and civic center within the community, the region gains:
