About the Band

Fronted by veteran performer Michael Furlong, Petty Cars is an exciting new evolution of his long-running Tom Petty Tribute show, which has been entertaining audiences across casinos, fairs, festivals, and concert venues across the country for decades. Furlong’s tribute has earned recognition from Tom Petty himself, who mentioned the show in a Rolling Stone interview, on Rockline, and on MTV’s Top 20 Countdown. In 2008, Michael’s tribute band even performed at Disney World’s EPCOT with Tom Petty’s written permission.

Now, Petty Cars expands that celebrated show by adding the biggest hits from The Cars, creating an evening packed with classics like Free Fallin’, American Girl, Refugee, Just What I Needed, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Drive. It’s the perfect combination of heartland rock and new wave favorites.
